The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durant drives through with a takedown into guard.
Durant looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Conolly is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Conolly not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Durant content to stall in guard here.
Durant would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Conolly trying to control the position.
Conolly might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Conolly scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Conolly throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

and Durant decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Conolly's guard.

Conolly wants to stand and escape but Durant is having none of it.
Durant is sitting in close to Conolly's body. Conolly has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Durant is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Durant is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Conolly.
