Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeshi Miura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Carrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miura comes to the cage accompanied by Ryuichi Sakamoto - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence. Carrey has chosen When the man comes around - Johnny Cash as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Takeshi Miura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Carrey! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miura throws out a loose jab but Carrey uses good head movement to avoid it. Miura misses the shot to the body. Carrey shoots in looking for a takedown. Miura tries to sprawl out of it but Carrey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miura manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Carrey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Miura defends it nicely. Miura misses with a straight right. Carrey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Takeshi Miura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Carrey. Carrey misses with a body shot.
Carrey misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carrey shoots for a takedown but Miura saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Carrey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Carrey shoots in for a takedown but Miura shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carrey wants to clinch up but Miura keeps it at a distance. Carrey fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Miura avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Carrey blocks a jab. Miura waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Carrey. Miura keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Carrey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Carrey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Miura misses with a wild body shot. Takeshi Miura is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Carrey closes this distance looking for a takedown but Miura circles away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Carrey. Carrey is trying hard to land a takedown here. Miura sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Carrey tries for a takedown but Miura sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Miura throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Miura misses the body punch and Carrey moves into the clinch. Miura can't break the clinch.
Miura gets underhooks to prevent Carrey's takedown attempt.
Miura prevents a takedown attempt there.
Carrey looks gassed! Carrey changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Miura fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Miura swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Miura slaps away a takedown attempt from Carrey, before circling back to the center of the mat. Carrey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Miura sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carrey somewhat. No luck with that takedown attempt from Carrey.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miura misses with a body shot
and Carrey counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Carrey. Miura pulls Carrey in close to prevent any damage. Miura lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Carrey! Carrey working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Carrey is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miura goes for an armbar but Carrey turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Carrey. Carrey trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Miura manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Takeshi Miura will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Carrey tries for a takedown but Miura sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jim Carrey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carrey shoots in for a takedown but Miura shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carrey. Takeshi Miura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Carrey. Miura misses with a wild body shot. Carrey shoots for a double leg takedown but Miura sprawls well. He's pushed Carrey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Carrey ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carrey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Miura looking to hit a scissor sweep but Carrey is one step ahead there. Carrey drops back looking for a leg! Miura is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Miura manages to kick Carrey off! Carrey jumps back into Miura's guard. Carrey is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carrey wants to stand but Miura is controlling his posture from full guard. Carrey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miura swivels though and keeps the full guard. Miura managing to control the position. Carrey postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Miura is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Carrey, into his guard. Miura passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Miura staying calm. Carrey is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carrey tries to roll over but Miura keeps him under control. Carrey is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Miura pulls his head out easily. Miura uses his free foot to push down on Carrey's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Carrey. Miura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carrey on the ground. Miura looking to control and managing it successfully. Carrey is wriggling around trying to escape.
Miura controlling his opponent. Miura has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Miura trying to control but Carrey is having none of it. Carrey keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Carrey tries to lock up and control but Miura gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carrey is in all sorts of trouble here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Miura stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Carrey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Miura is trying to defend but Carrey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Takeshi Miura will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Carrey tries to close the distance and clinch but Miura swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Carrey. Carrey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miura tries to avoid it but Carrey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miura to the ground. Miura escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Miura swings away with a body shot that misses
and Carrey counters with a takedown into side control. Carrey throws an elbow but Miura slips to the side and avoids it well. Carrey is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Miura has escaped the position, nice work there. Miura manages to work his way to half guard, despite Carrey's best efforts. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carrey prevents Miura from improving his position. Carrey tries to pass the half guard into mount. Miura knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Carrey is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Miura doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Carrey. Miura works his way to full guard. Good work. Jim Carrey has got the better of the ground game so far. Miura has his hands on Carrey's head, controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Carrey throwing strikes from guard but Miura blocks nicely. Carrey drops back, looking for a kneebar! Miura looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Miura looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Miura! Carrey tries to improve position but can't. Carrey is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Miura controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carrey prevents Miura from improving position. Carrey looks to move to half guard but instead Miura has passed into mount! Damn! Miura controlling the pace for now. Takeshi Miura is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Carrey sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miura performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Carrey is looking to improve his position.
Jim Carrey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Miura is looking to advance position but Carrey won't allow it. Carrey tries to roll over but Miura keeps him under control.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jim Carrey. I think Miura has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
