Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Burgemeister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Chimpo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burgemeister comes into the arena with Lil Scrappy - Head Bussa blaring out of the sound system. Chimpo has chosen Crazy Train as his entrance music. Johnny Chimpo acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Burgemeister! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Chimpo! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chimpo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Burgemeister defends it nicely. A telegraphed right hand from Burgemeister misses the target. A combination from Burgemeister does no damage. Burgemeister throws a shot from downtown. Chimpo moves away and avoids it. Chimpo fails in his attempt to clinch. Chimpo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Chimpo scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Chimpo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Burgemeister is refusing to be controlled, as Chimpo sits in half guard. Burgemeister is looking to control Chimpo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Burgemeister avoid being mounted? Chimpo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Burgemeister with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chimpo trying to control from half guard but Burgemeister is working away. Burgemeister wants to get back to full guard. Chimpo is trying to control. Burgemeister wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Chimpo throws a strike but Burgemeister avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Chimpo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Burgemeister's guard. Burgemeister manages to get to full guard.
Chimpo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Burgemeister is keeping the position for now. Chimpo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Burgemeister on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Burgemeister tries to get out of the position. Burgemeister keeping moving, preventing Chimpo from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Burgemeister keeping full guard, as Chimpo tries to pass. Chimpo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Burgemeister can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chimpo controls the pace. Chimpo wants to control from the top but Burgemeister keeps moving. Chimpo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chimpo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Burgemeister looks to land a combination but Chimpo avoids it well. Chimpo throws a right and a left that both miss. Chimpo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Burgemeister counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Burgemeister swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Burgemeister misses with a straight left. Chimpo throws a right and a left that both miss. Burgemeister tries to clinch there but Chimpo circles away.

and Chimpo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Burgemeister misses the body punch and Chimpo counters with a one-two to the body. Chimpo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Burgemeister closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Chimpo lands a left hand.
Burgemeister is trying to break the clinch but Chimpo is controlling him. Chimpo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's four minutes gone in the round. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Burgemeister creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Burgemeister misses with a hook to the ribs.

Burgemeister stalling in the clinch but Chimpo improves position. Chimpo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Chimpo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Chimpo doesn't manage to clinch there - Burgemeister circles away.

Chimpo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Burgemeister avoids it really well and circles away. Chimpo misses with a jab to the body
and Burgemeister connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Johnny Chimpo has been cut. Chimpo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Burgemeister's head. Burgemeister darts in trying to clinch and Chimpo counters with a straight right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A solid body kick from Chimpo. Burgemeister slips a jab and a cross from Chimpo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Burgemeister tries to bum rush Chimpo with a series of wild strikes but Chimpo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Burgemeister throws a left and a right that both miss
and Chimpo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Burgemeister misses with a double jab
and Chimpo counters with a one-two to the body. Chimpo fails with a takedown attempt. Chimpo tries to clinch there but Burgemeister circles away.
Chimpo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Chimpo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Chimpo has closed the distance and engaged Burgemeister in a clinch.

enabling Chimpo to counter with a crisp jab. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Chimpo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Chimpo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Burgemeister in his tracks. Chimpo swings for the body but Burgemeister moves out of range.
Chimpo connects with a body shot. Burgemeister is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Chimpo's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Chimpo moves into the clinch. Burgemeister wants to get back to striking at distance but Chimpo won't allow it.
Chimpo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Burgemeister's efforts to push away. Burgemeister tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Chimpo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Burgemeister gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Chimpo to score an easy takedown into full guard. Burgemeister keeping moving, preventing Chimpo from controlling successfully. Burgemeister knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chimpo on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burgemeister keeping full guard, as Chimpo tries to pass. Chimpo is pushing down on Burgemeister's leg trying to pass to half guard. Burgemeister is fighting to maintain full guard but Chimpo has managed to sneak the leg through. Chimpo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Chimpo passes to side control. Chimpo is looking to take a break and control but Burgemeister is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chimpo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chimpo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Burgemeister is trying to escape the position but Chimpo is controlling the position. A control attempt from Burgemeister but he's now mounted! Chimpo lands a big elbow. Chimpo avoids the attempt from Burgemeister to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Chimpo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Burgemeister can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Chimpo wants to control the pace but Burgemeister is squirming around nicely. Chimpo lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Burgemeister hang on? Chimpo throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Burgemeister is bucking up trying to escape but Chimpo cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Burgemeister wants to hold on but Chimpo pushes him away. The referee warns Burgemeister that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chimpo throwing strikes here but Burgemeister is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Chimpo has hold of Burgemeister's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Burgemeister manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Chimpo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Burgemeister is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Chimpo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Johnny Chimpo's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

and Chimpo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Burgemeister's guard. Chimpo connects with a couple of short punches. Johnny Chimpo has got the better of the ground game so far. Burgemeister has Chimpo pulled in close to control his posture. Chimpo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Chimpo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Burgemeister is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chimpo, into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burgemeister wants to pass the guard but Chimpo is keeping the position. Chimpo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Burgemeister is trying desperately to improve position. Chimpo trying to control but Burgemeister is having none of it. Burgemeister is looking to improve his position but Chimpo isn't that keen on the idea. Chimpo goes for an armbar but Burgemeister turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Burgemeister. Chimpo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Burgemeister can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chimpo has a closed guard, preventing Burgemeister from standing up. Chimpo throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Chimpo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Burgemeister is aware though and is defending well. Daniel Burgemeister has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Johnny Chimpo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burgemeister loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Burgemeister throwing strikes but missing. Chimpo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Chimpo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Burgemeister manages to get himself to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Chimpo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Chimpo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
