Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between For Win (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demarcus Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Win's entrance music is Miles Davis - Freddie freeloader. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, For Win!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Demarcus Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Win swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Win swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jackson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Win shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed Win's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Win, pushing him back against the cage.

Jackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Win avoids a punch combination nicely.

Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jackson throws a looping overhand right but Win ducks down to avoid it.
Jackson tries to clinch but Win moves out of range.

Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss.

Win bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jackson is not content to let Win control the position.

Win is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jackson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Win is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Win connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jackson some visible discomfort.
Jackson parries the strikes from Win easily there. Win is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jackson to escape.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jackson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Win is controlling him well.
Jackson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Win wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Win tries to advance to mount but Jackson denies him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jackson misses with a wild combination.

Win shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jackson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jackson is trying to escape the position but Win is controlling the position.

Win is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jackson explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Win dodges the punch combination from Jackson.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Win paws at him with a jab and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that For Win will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Win shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Jackson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Win off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Jackson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Win dives into side control.

Jackson is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Win is trying to get an arm triangle but Jackson is defending well.

Win wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jackson, who protects the arm well.
Jackson is trying to buck Win off.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
For Win is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Win shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well.

Good leg kick by Jackson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Demarcus Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Win tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Win has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jackson is trying to get back to his feet.
Jackson is letting Win control him for a moment.
Win trying to control the position but Jackson is working away.
Jackson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Jackson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

And that's the end of the fight!
For Win showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Win has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
