PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gonzo Bunga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chai Hideto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gonzo Bunga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chai Hideto!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bunga.
Bunga takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Hideto gets caught flat footed, as Bunga shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bunga throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Hideto has momentary wrist control but Bunga slips an elbow through the middle.
Hideto lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bunga!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hideto throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bunga will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bunga closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bunga lands in his opponent's guard.

Hideto has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bunga off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Hideto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Gonzo Bunga is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hideto sizes up Bunga with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Bunga walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hideto tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bunga sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hideto somewhat.
