Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rosco Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter scores with a nice right hand.
Carter misses with an uppercut. Carter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jenkins. Jab by Carter. Carter misses with a two punch combination.
Carter misses with a straight left. Jenkins keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Carter misses with a takedown and Jenkins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Carter's guard now. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jenkins's guard. Carter wants to stand and escape but instead Jenkins has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins prevents Carter from getting back to his feet. Jenkins controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Jenkins stops Carter from standing up. Carter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carter tries to get out of the position. Jenkins controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Jenkins won't allow Carter to get back to his feet. Carter is breathing heavily. Jenkins is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Jenkins wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving.

Despite being in the dominant position, Rosco Jenkins just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carter throws out a loose jab but Jenkins uses good head movement to avoid it. Jenkins with a poor takedown and Carter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jenkins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carter's guard. Jenkins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Carter seems keen to control Jenkins's posture. Jenkins stays in close to Carter's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenkins's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. I looks like Jenkins might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Jenkins wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jenkins content to stall in guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Carter misses with a hook. Jenkins ducked under it nicely. A big right from Carter misses. Jenkins with a poor takedown and Carter counters with a single leg into guard. Jenkins didn't expect that. Matt Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rosco Jenkins. Jenkins had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Carter is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jenkins Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Carter's back instead. Jenkins struggling to keep hold of the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carter just trying to survive but Jenkins is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Good control from Jenkins. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Matt Carter will probably get the nod. That's time! Carter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Carter scores with a jab. Jenkins slips a jab from Carter. Carter loads up on a big right hand but Jenkins slips the punch. Jenkins uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carter. A low kick from Carter is predictable there and Jenkins counters with a shoot takedown. Carter fights it but they end up in guard. Jenkins is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Let's hope that Jenkins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Jenkins stops Carter from standing up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jenkins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jenkins trying to control but Carter is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Jenkins wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving.

Carter waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Jenkins. Carter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jenkins was well out of range. Poor timing from Carter. Carter is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Carter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jenkins.
Jenkins tries for a takedown but Carter circles away easily and Carter counters with a nice uppercut. Carter is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

and Jenkins counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Jenkins is looking to advance position but Carter won't allow it. Rosco Jenkins has got the better of the ground game so far. Carter is trying to stand back up but Jenkins is controlling him
Well, if Jenkins is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Carter is looking to escape. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jenkins in particular looking to stall. Carter is trying to escape back to his feet but Jenkins uses the scramble to pass into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter wants to control but Jenkins postures up. Jenkins in side control, just content to control the action for now. Jenkins is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Carter has escaped the position, nice work there. Carter being controlled for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Carter is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Carter seems a little lost for a moment, as Jenkins dominates the positioning.

Carter with a lazy takedown attempt and Jenkins counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Jenkins is figuring out what he wants to do next. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rosco Jenkins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Jenkins fails with the takedown and Carter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jenkins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carter avoids it really well and circles away. Carter misses the jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jenkins avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A big right from Carter misses. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jenkins shoots for a takedown but Carter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Matt Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rosco Jenkins.

Carter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jenkins is controlling him. Jenkins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

and Jenkins counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jenkins. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jenkins looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Carter misses the target. Carter misses with a series of wild punches.
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown but Carter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jenkins has a takedown stuffed. An inside leg kick from Carter misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Carter throws the left hand but Jenkins avoids the punch easily. Jenkins drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Carter wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Jenkins tries to advance to mount but Carter denies him. Jenkins taking a breather here. Jenkins advances to full mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Rosco Jenkins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jenkins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
