Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Faustin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson wants to clinch up but Faustin keeps it at a distance.
Faustin moves into the clinch.
Johnson tries to pull guard but Faustin won't allow it.

Faustin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Faustin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Faustin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Faustin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Johnson escapes and throws Faustin's legs to the side, diving into side control!
You can see the frustration on Faustin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Faustin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Johnson defends it well.

Faustin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head.

and Johnson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Johnson.
Johnson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Johnson is trying to trip Faustin. He has hold of a leg but Faustin is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Johnson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Johnson will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Johnson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
