Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dario Mancinelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Russell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Russell has chosen Rio by Duran Duran as his entrance music. Dario Mancinelli is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dario Mancinelli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Russell! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mancinelli shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Russell's guard. Russell keeping full guard, as Mancinelli tries to pass. Mancinelli trying to control the position from guard on top but Russell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Russell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mancinelli manages to get himself to full guard.
Mancinelli is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Mancinelli looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Russell prevents Mancinelli from taking his back. Russell can't escape the position.
Russell defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Mancinelli. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Russell is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mancinelli is going olschool here, as he tries to force Russell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Russell shrugs it off. Russell is controlling an arm, preventing Mancinelli from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Russell is trying to escape the mount.
Mancinelli goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Russell is on top in guard.
Mancinelli is breathing heavily. Mancinelli tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mancinelli is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Russell is aware though and is defending well. Mancinelli keeping moving, preventing Russell from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mancinelli looking for a guillotine here but Russell defends easily.
Russell lands a couple of digs. Russell slips nicely into half guard. Russell wants to take a breather but Mancinelli is having none of it. Mancinelli regains full guard. Nicely done. Mancinelli has his foot on Russell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Russell works his way back into a safe position though. Russell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mancinelli has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Russell has managed to get both his arms back between Mancinelli's legs - danger averted. Russell looking to pass the guard. Mancinelli escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Russell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Russell trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mancinelli is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mancinelli is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Russell is looking to improve his position.
Russell flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Mancinelli has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Mancinelli working for a guillotine from mount but Russell is in no mood to give up. Mancinelli with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mancinelli is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Russell can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Mancinelli working for a guillotine from mount but Russell is in no mood to give up. Mancinelli moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Russell has worked his arm free - good work by Russell!
Russell tries to bench press Mancinelli off him but Mancinelli keeps the position. Mancinelli wants to control but Russell is keeping him busy. Russell tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mancinelli shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Russell is trying to defend but Mancinelli finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Mancinelli is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Russell doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mancinelli. Mancinelli is looking to take a break and control but Russell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Russell is looking to improve his position.
