The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leks moves out of range of the strikes.

Dork Fish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fish throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Leks.

Fish decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Leks trying to hold on to Fish's head to control him but Fish postures up.
Fish thows a huge punch but Leks dodges it nicely.

Fish wants to work for an arm triangle but Leks is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Leks throws a combination that misses
and Fish counters with a three punch combo that has Leks backing up. Leks nods at Fish to acknowledge the strikes.

Leks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fish moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Justin Leks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Leks gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Leks bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fish's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Leks avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Leks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fish has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Leks has managed to get both his arms back between Fish's legs - danger averted.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fish shoots in and drives through. Leks sprawls well.
Fish cracks a nice hook into Leks's ribs.

Fish looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Leks!

Fish is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Leks can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Leks is having to fend off submission attempts from Fish, who is looking to sink in the choke. Fish doesn't have the hooks in though and Leks manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Fish working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Leks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fish throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Leks escapes and throws Fish's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Fish is looking to regain half guard here but Leks keeps moving and retains side control.

Fish is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Leks's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Fish wants to control but Leks is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Leks is taking a breather. Fish says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Leks moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Fish.

Dork Fish is winning the standup battle so far.
Fish swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Leks counters with a stiff right hand.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Leks, as that shot connected.
Fish will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Leks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fish uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Leks does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Fish scores with a sloppy right hand. Leks should have avoided that one.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
