Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roberts comes into the arena with Hell Yeah blaring out of the sound system. Miles has chosen Welcome to the World as his entrance music. Desmond Miles has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mike Roberts's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Roberts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Desmond Miles!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miles displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Roberts.
Roberts throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Miles was covering up waiting for the punch and Roberts finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Miles working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Roberts.
Roberts trying to control but Miles is working from the bottom.
Miles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roberts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Roberts postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Miles is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Roberts, into his guard.
Miles trying to control but Roberts is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Roberts tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Roberts has his foot on Miles's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miles works his way back into a safe position though.
Miles must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Roberts tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Miles dances in with a quick combination. Roberts is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Miles snaps Roberts's head back. Roberts stumbles backwards against the cage. Miles steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Roberts's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Roberts just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Desmond Miles!
