The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jacotey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. hewitt is trying to defend but Jacotey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

hewitt had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jacotey is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. hewitt Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jacotey's back instead.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jacotey has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. hewitt looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out!
