Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Canton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Passacantando Passalaqua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Passalaqua is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bunch of Soldiers. Mark Canton is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Passalaqua shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Canton sprawls well. Canton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Passalaqua gets slowly back to his feet.
Canton throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Passalaqua looks for a takedown but Canton sprawls well.
Crunch! Passalaqua slams his shin into Canton's torso.
Passalaqua tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Passacantando Passalaqua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Canton steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Passalaqua. That one must have hurt.
Passalaqua misses with a few strikes there.
Passalaqua throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Passalaqua tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Canton paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Canton pivots, looking for a leg kick but Passalaqua is out of range and Canton settles back down.

Canton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Passalaqua.

Passalaqua shoots in for a takedown but Canton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mark Canton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Passacantando Passalaqua.

A head kick misses from Passalaqua.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Passalaqua checks a leg kick.
Canton throws a right and a left that both miss.
Passalaqua swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Canton looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Passalaqua!
Canton unloads with some shots from mount but Passalaqua bucks and avoids them well.
Canton trying to control but Passalaqua is having none of it.

Passalaqua is trying to escape the mount.
Canton can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Passalaqua is looking to escape.
Passalaqua is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Passalaqua is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Canton looking to control but Passalaqua is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Canton content just to control the position here.
Canton fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Poor strikes thrown by Canton there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Passalaqua tries to hold on but Canton pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Canton sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Passalaqua is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Canton throws a sloppy strike and Passalaqua uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Passalaqua has ended up in Canton's guard.
Passalaqua slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Canton tries to bench press Passalaqua off him but Passalaqua keeps the position.
Passalaqua trying to control the position but Canton is working away.
Canton regains half guard, as Passalaqua was trying to land strikes.
Canton tries to roll over but Passalaqua keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Canton keeping hold of Passalaqua's head, controlling as best he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Passacantando Passalaqua will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Passalaqua tries to clinch up.
Passalaqua doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Canton makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Canton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Passalaqua moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Passalaqua tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Canton holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Canton manages to break the clinch.
Canton throws a front kick aimed at Passalaqua's knee but Passalaqua avoids it well.
Passalaqua connects with a high kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Passalaqua with a poor takedown
and Canton counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Canton.
Canton wants to control from the top but Passalaqua keeps moving.
Passalaqua tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Passalaqua keeping moving, preventing Canton from controlling successfully.
Passalaqua is looking to sinch up a triangle. Canton throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Passalaqua's body to avoid the submission. Passalaqua has instead reached around Canton's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Passalaqua arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
