Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Abel Dziuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Toppolton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abel Dziuk has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Toppolton shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dziuk is trying to defend but Toppolton finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Dziuk trying to hold on to Toppolton's head to control him but Toppolton postures up.
Toppolton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dziuk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Toppolton turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Toppolton manages to end up in side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Abel Dziuk will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Toppolton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Dziuk shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Toppolton manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Toppolton moves into range and clinches up with Dziuk.

Toppolton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Toppolton tries to close the distance and clinch but Dziuk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Dziuk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Dziuk is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Toppolton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dziuk is looking to take a break and control but Toppolton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dziuk postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
