Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Saiko Negz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaeso Vanderlee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Negz misses with an uppercut.
Negz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vanderlee looks to land a combination. Negz sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Saiko Negz has been cut.
Vanderlee keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Negz.
Vanderlee goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Negz misses with a double jab
and Vanderlee counters with a left to the body.

Saiko Negz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Vanderlee counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Negz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Negz misses with a hook. Vanderlee ducked under it nicely.
Vanderlee closes the distance and clinches up with Negz, looking for a takedown. Vanderlee pushes Negz against the ropes but Negz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vanderlee lands a right hook to the body.
Horrible takedown by Vanderlee or perhaps it was just good defense by Negz which made him look bad.
Negz scores with a nice strike.
Vanderlee lands with a nice body punch.

Vanderlee swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Negz counters with a left to the body.
Negz misses with a double jab
and Vanderlee counters with a big head kick but Negz shrugs it off.
Vanderlee shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Negz but Negz pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Saiko Negz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaeso Vanderlee.

Negz throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vanderlee counters with a three punch combo that has Negz backing up. Negz nods at Vanderlee to acknowledge the strikes.
Negz throws a hook to the side of Vanderlee's head but Vanderlee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Negz throws a predictable looking body shot
and Vanderlee counters with a stiff right hand.
Negz cracks Vanderlee with a good jab.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Vanderlee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Vanderlee looking to sit in guard and control but Negz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vanderlee can do anything to dispel that myth.
Vanderlee controlling Negz's posture.
Vanderlee wants to sweep but no luck.
Vanderlee working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Negz.
Vanderlee throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Vanderlee has his foot on Negz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Negz works his way back into a safe position though.
Vanderlee punching from the bottom - just letting Negz know he's still in a fight.

Vanderlee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Negz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Negz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vanderlee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Negz works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Vanderlee misses with a two punch combination.
Negz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vanderlee.
Both fighters circling a little - Vanderlee finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Negz thows a left - swing and a miss!
Negz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Vanderlee blocks a jab.
Vanderlee lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Negz takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
A swing and a miss from Negz.
Negz throws out a loose jab but Vanderlee uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vanderlee goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Negz throws a leg kick
and Vanderlee counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Negz misses with a straight right.
Kaeso Vanderlee seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Negz throws a big shot that misses.
Negz misses with a looping right.
And that's the end of the fight!
Kaeso Vanderlee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Vanderlee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
