Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Claudio Spineli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pete Trafelsi! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trafelsi shoots for a takedown but Spineli saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Oooh a lovely combination from Spineli sends Trafelsi down but not out. Spineli dives into side control looking to finish.
It looks like Pete Trafelsi has been cut. A lull in the action here. Spineli has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Trafelsi prevents Spineli from moving into mount. Spineli is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Trafelsi's shoulder. That is not cool. Spineli's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Trafelsi is trying to get back to his feet. Trafelsi prevents Spineli from improving position. You can see the frustration on Trafelsi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Spineli is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Trafelsi will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spineli decides to stand back up. Spineli uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Trafelsi.

Trafelsi looks gassed! Trafelsi clinches. Spineli breaks the clinch.
Trafelsi has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Spineli swats away the attempt to clinch by Trafelsi. A shot to de liver by Spineli. Beautiful body shot. Trafelsi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spineli digs a good hook to Trafelsi's body.
Trafelsi is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Trafelsi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Trafelsi wants it to stay on the feet. Spineli throws a right hand that Trafelsi ducks under and follows up with a left that Trafelsi also avoids with ease. Trafelsi takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Trafelsi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Spineli sprawls well. Spineli wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Trafelsi gets slowly back to his feet. Claudio Spineli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Trafelsi. Spineli lands a two punch combo.
Trafelsi tries for a takedown but Spineli sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Spineli scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Spineli throws a series of punches but Trafelsi moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spineli misses with a few strikes there.

Spineli ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Spineli has closed the distance and engaged Trafelsi in a clinch.
Trafelsi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Spineli connects with a jab. Spineli lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Spineli closes the distance and pushes Trafelsi back into the ropes. Spineli lands an uppercut. Spineli makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Spineli breaks the clinch.
Trafelsi misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spineli swinging wilding here.
Spineli bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Spineli works over Trafelsi's head and body with a nice combination. Spineli swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Trafelsi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Spineli's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Spineli is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Trafelsi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Trafelsi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Trafelsi wanted to stand there but Spineli had control of the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Trafelsi preventing the sweep. Trafelsi would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Claudio Spineli dominated that round. The cut man is working on Pete Trafelsi's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Spineli connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Trafelsi momentarily.
Spineli cracks Trafelsi with a good jab. Spineli moves out of range as Trafelsi throws a body kick.
Spineli throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Spineli shoots in for a double leg but Trafelsi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Spineli fails in his attempt to clinch. Trafelsi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Spineli to the mat! Spineli manages to get full guard. Trafelsi preventing the sweep. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Trafelsi tries to stand but Spineli is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spineli looking to hit a scissor sweep but Trafelsi is one step ahead there. Trafelsi wants to control from the top but Spineli keeps moving. Spineli has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Trafelsi should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Spineli has tightened it up now! Trafelsi should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
