Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
burton is trying hard to land a takedown here. muhammad sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

burton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but muhammad avoids it really well and circles away.

ghos muhammad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of dillon burton.
muhammad throws a hook to the side of burton's head but burton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
burton closes the distance and clinches up with muhammad, looking for a takedown. burton pushes muhammad against the cage but muhammad circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

burton slaps away a takedown attempt from muhammad, before circling back to the center of the mat.

muhammad pushes burton back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

muhammad wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but burton has him pressed against the cage.
muhammad has burton pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. muhammad pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending burton tumbling to the mat - muhammad dives into burton's guard.
burton seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
burton controls muhammad momentarily but muhammad frees himself.
burton is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but muhammad frees his head nicely. Oh but burton has switched to an armbar! muhammad is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
