Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Bonilla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamir Amini! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amini feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bonilla is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Amini defends well. Bonilla working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Amini has passed into half guard!
Amini takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Bonilla looking for submissions off his back. Amini is trying to control. Bonilla wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Bonilla looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bonilla doesn't succeed with the takedown and Amini counters with a left and a right that stings Bonilla. Bonilla is breathing heavily. Bonilla takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
It looks like Hector Bonilla has been cut. Amini shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Amini showed some decent athleticism there. Amini decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Amini changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bonilla looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Amini looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Amini is looking to take a break and control but Bonilla is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Amini might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bonilla kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Amini controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amini trying to control the position but Bonilla is working away. Amini has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Bonilla is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Amini yanks on the arm and Bonilla is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Amini.
