Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tetsu Shiroka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruffuss Passat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tetsu Shiroka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ruffuss Passat! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Passat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shiroka will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Passat shoots in but Shiroka avoids the takedown attempt easily. Shiroka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Shiroka forces Passat back against the cage and clinches. Knees in the clinch landing for Passat.

The fight stays on the outside here - Passat looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Passat takes the fight into the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Passat. Shiroka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Passat shoots in for a takedown but Shiroka shows good takedown defense. Passat looks gassed! Shiroka scores with a nice head shot. Shiroka moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Shiroka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Shiroka goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Shiroka counters with a takedown into side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Passat wants to control but Shiroka postures up. Shiroka stands up and beckons Passat to his feet. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Shiroka!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Passat throws a sloppy head kick and Shiroka counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Shiroka has taken the fight to the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Shiroka breaks the clinch.
Passat gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Shiroka is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Passat controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Passat is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Shiroka is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Passat tries to stand but can't do so whilst Shiroka controls his leg. Passat is thwarting Shiroka's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tetsu Shiroka dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Passat moves in looking to clinch but Shiroka pushes him off. Shiroka moves out of range of the body kick from Passat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shiroka. Shiroka scores a takedown into full mount! Passat keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Passat is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Passat is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Passat squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Shiroka controlling his opponent. Passat is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Shiroka controlling the pace for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shiroka seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Passat for as long as he can get away with. Shiroka has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tetsu Shiroka dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Shiroka takes the fight into the clinch. Shiroka has Passat pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Passat manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Shiroka throws a punch but it's blocked by Passat. Shiroka is fighting off a takedown attempt but Passat is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Shiroka to the mat. Shiroka regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Passat trying to control but Shiroka is working from the bottom. Shiroka trying to control the position.
Passat takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Passat won't allow Shiroka to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shiroka pushes Passat off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Passat tries to clinch up but Shiroka circles away and keeps his distance. Shiroka misses with a jab, cross combination.
Passat looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Shiroka has a takedown stuffed. Passat misses with an uppercut. Passat tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Passat rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Shiroka counter with a right hand. Passat looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Shiroka will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tetsu Shiroka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Passat throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shiroka. Passat misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Passat tries to land a leg kick but Shiroka saw it coming and moves away.
Shiroka clinches up against the cage. Passat escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Shiroka keeps Passat at a distance using the push kick. Ruffuss Passat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shiroka misses with a few strikes there.

No joy there for Shiroka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shiroka shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Passat as he avoids it easily. Shiroka moves into the clinch successfully.
Passat keeps control of Shiroka as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Passat manages to pull guard.
Shiroka won't allow Passat to sweep him here. Shiroka might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shiroka wanted to stand there but Passat had control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Passat looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Passat wants to get back to his feet but Shiroka is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Passat trying to keep a closed guard but Shiroka is proving a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tetsu Shiroka. Well Shiroka has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
