The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schneidmiller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hussain moves away.

Hussain darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hussain content to control rather than advance.

Schneidmiller is defending against the submission attempts here by Hussain.
Schneidmiller looks like he's trying to stand up.

Hussain wants to work for an arm triangle but Schneidmiller is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Schneidmiller scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Hussain manages to mount him!
Schneidmiller tries to hold on but Hussain pushes him away.

Hussain goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Schneidmiller is on top in guard.
Schneidmiller won't allow Hussain to sweep him here.

Hussain is looking for a triangle but Schneidmiller pushes his legs off easily.
Schneidmiller wants to stand but Hussain is controlling his posture from full guard.

Hussain not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Hussain shoots for a takedown but Schneidmiller saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

so Hussain counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Schneidmiller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Schneidmiller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Schneidmiller is looking to stand up but Hussain isn't so interested in that idea.

Hussain is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
