Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brian lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cleaver's sensitive parts. Cleaver shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brian napping and manages to drive through into side control! Brian is trying to get back to half guard. Brian gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Cleaver is trying to control the action in half guard but Brian is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Cleaver stops Brian from getting back to his feet.
Brian looking for submissions off his back. Cleaver wants to control but Brian is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brian is trying to control but can't.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nice sprawl there from Brian as Cleaver shoots in. Brian stuffs the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. An inside leg kick from Brian misses. Cleaver takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Robert Cleaver has been cut. A chopping leg kick lands by Brian. Brian stalks Cleaver and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cleaver's face. Cleaver staggers backwards, shaken. Brian throws a series of punches but Cleaver moves out of range. Cleaver checks the leg kick nicely there.
Brian throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Brian lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Brian throws a body kick that misses. Cleaver fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brian avoids it really well and circles away. Shane Brian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Cleaver. Cleaver looks gassed! Cleaver shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brian tries to get to full guard but Cleaver has control of the leg. Brian moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brian has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Cleaver won't allow Brian to sweep him here. Brian looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brian is pulling down on Cleaver's head. It's preventing any offense from Cleaver, at least for the moment. Cleaver trying to control the position from guard on top but Brian is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brian has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cleaver can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Brian keeping moving, preventing Cleaver from controlling successfully. Brian tries to land a sweep but no joy. Brian keeping full guard, as Cleaver tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Brian trying to strike off his back.
Cleaver is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Cleaver wants to control from the top but Brian keeps moving. Brian wants to sweep here but Cleaver controlling him for the moment. Cleaver throws a big right hand that misses.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cleaver avoids the head kick by Brian.
Brian throws a nice head kick!
Brian throws a right and a left that both miss. Cleaver dives in and grabs Brian's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brian pushes down on Cleaver's head and hops out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Brian dominated that round. The cut man is working on Robert Cleaver's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Brian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Brian attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. An inside leg kick from Brian misses. Brian tries to work over Cleaver's front leg with a kick but Cleaver checks it. Brian stuffs the takedown attempt from Cleaver. Cleaver gets slowly back to his feet. Brian moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brian throws a nice looking combination but Cleaver bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Brian walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cleaver checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Brian fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brian throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cleaver. Shane Brian is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Brian gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cleaver to score an easy takedown into full guard. Brian is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cleaver trying to control the position from guard on top but Brian is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cleaver looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Cleaver trying to control but Brian is working from the bottom. Cleaver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cleaver is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brian escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cleaver gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Brian keeping moving, preventing Cleaver from controlling successfully. Brian looking to control.
Cleaver must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Brian wants to sweep but no luck. Brian is working hard here to advance position. Brian pushes a forearm under Cleaver's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Cleaver is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
