Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Buffalo Bill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hall Wall!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bill gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wall looking to pass the guard.
Wall wants to control from the top but Bill keeps moving.
Wall pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bill is keeping the position for now.
Wall looking to sit in guard and control but Bill gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bill is looking to advance position but Wall has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Bill looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bill has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close round but I would say that Buffalo Bill will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Bill stuffs the takedown.

Wall closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bill to the mat! Bill manages to get full guard.

Wall is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bill is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bill has escaped and now he's on top!

and Bill counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wall won't be happy with that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
You can see the frustration on Wall's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Wall is trying to keep from getting into a worse position than he's already in but Wall is working away and isn't letting himself get tied up.

Wall is looking for a sweep.
Wall throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
You can see the frustration on Wall's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Wall shoots in for a takedown but Bill shows good takedown defense.
Buffalo Bill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hall Wall.

Wall has given up his back. Will we see Bill going for some submissions?

That was a close second round but I would say that Buffalo Bill will probably get the nod.

I really don't envy Wall right now.

Buffalo Bill overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wall pushes Bill away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bill gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Hall Wall has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wall tries to strike from the bottom but misses.

Well Bill has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
