The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whistler bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Whistler is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Jones is not content to let Whistler control the position. Whistler is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jones has escaped the position, nice work there. Whistler is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jones looks calm but he's in trouble here. Whistler gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jones is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Whistler lets go of the hold and Jones can pop his arm back in it's socket.
