Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between frank mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson Nogueira told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mir throws a low kick, looking for Nogueira's leg but Nogueira calmly moves out of range.
mir throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nogueira's waist but Nogueira gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing mir off to one side.
Nogueira closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
mir wants to control but Nogueira passes into side.
mir tries to bench press Nogueira off him but Nogueira keeps the position.
Nogueira tries to advance to mount but can't.
You can see the frustration on mir's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
mir forces Nogueira back against the cage and clinches.
mir manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

so mir counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

mir throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nogueira works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
