PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Beck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mubaganda Mutumba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Beck might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to "Lunatic Fringe" by Red Rider. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mubaganda Mutumba!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beck throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Mutumba has eaten all the pies!
Nice takedown defense from Mutumba. No joy for Beck on that attempt.
Beck fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mutumba closes the distance and clinches up with Beck, looking for a takedown. Mutumba pushes Beck against the cage but Beck circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Beck is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mutumba has escaped the position, nice work there.

Beck stands up.
Mutumba throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beck's waist but Beck gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mutumba off to one side.
Junior Beck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mubaganda Mutumba.

and Mutumba counters with a nice double leg into side control. Beck won't be happy with that.

Mutumba advances to full mount.

Mutumba is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Beck has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Beck!
Beck controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Mutumba is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Beck slips nicely into half guard.
Mutumba wants to improve his position but Beck is controlling well.

Mutumba had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Beck is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mutumba Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Beck's back instead.

Mutumba working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Beck is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Mutumba has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Beck taps out!
