Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Oliveira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Faded Faded! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faded shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Oliveira pinned against the cage. Oliveira gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Faded shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Oliveira wants to get back to full guard. Oliveira looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Oliveira is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Oliveira looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Oliveira actively working from the bottom here.

Faded is thwarting Oliveira's attempts to control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Faded fails to land the takedown. Faded shoots in for a takedown but Oliveira shows good takedown defense. Joao Oliveira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Faded Faded. Oliveira shoots and misses and Faded counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oliveira looking for submissions off his back. Oliveira looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Oliveira wants to get back to full guard. Oliveira avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Faded. Oliveira trying to hold on to Faded's head to control him but Faded postures up.
Oliveira tries to roll over but Faded keeps him under control. Oliveira tries to kick Faded off but Faded keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Faded has his takedown stuffed and Oliveira decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Faded's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Faded bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Oliveira's guard. Oliveira pushes a forearm under Faded's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Faded is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
