Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between jj b (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mrs gusberti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). mrs gusberti has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
gusberti looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? b is fending him off so far but gusberti persists. Nope, b circles away and we're back to standing.
b avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
b shoots in for a takedown but gusberti shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
b dodges the punch combination from gusberti.
b clinches but gusberti breaks the clinch
and gusberti holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
b wants a takedown but no success here.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for jj b. That's going to take a lot out of him.
b is trying to work for a single leg takedown but gusberti pulls him back up using the underhooks.
gusberti breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

b throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. gusberti was covering up waiting for the punch and b finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if gusberti can do anything to dispel that myth.

b not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

b is squirming around, avoiding gusberti's attempts to control the action.

Poor strikes thrown by gusberti there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

b manages to regain half guard. Good work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
b makes his way to full guard. A much better position for b.

b is looking for a triangle but gusberti pushes his legs off easily.

b had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. gusberti is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. b Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take gusberti's back instead.
b is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. gusberti is defending well though. b let's go of the attempt for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
jj b dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
