Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Matrikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Mcdough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matrikov comes to the cage accompanied by Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata. Vladimir Matrikov looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcdough drops Matrikov with a beautiful combination! Matrikov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mcdough is looking for the KO!
It looks like Vladimir Matrikov has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Matrikov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mcdough paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mcdough avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Matrikov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mcdough defends it nicely. Matrikov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mcdough tries to avoid it but Matrikov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mcdough to the ground. Mcdough escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Matrikov is breathing heavily. Mcdough is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladimir Matrikov. Mcdough instigates a clinch. Mcdough prevents Matrikov from breaking the clinch. Matrikov is trying to maintain a safe position but Mcdough gets an underhook and turns Matrikov into the cage. Mcdough stalling the fight.

The crowd are getting on Mcdough's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Mcdough prevents the takedown attempt.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Mcdough just misses with a elbow thrown towards Matrikov's brow. Mcdough crunches a lovely knee into Matrikov's ribcage. Mcdough breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Mcdough takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Mcdough lands a good knee to the midsection. Matrikov won't want to take too many of those. Matrikov being controlled against the cage. Mcdough continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Mcdough breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcdough connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Matrikov to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Mcdough!
