Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Ramos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luiz Rangel!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos looks for a takedown but Rangel sprawls well.
Rangel tries for a takedown but Ramos sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rangel throws a nice head kick!


It looks like Tony Ramos has been cut.
Ramos has his takedown stuffed

and Rangel counters by moving into the clinch.
Rangel is pushing Ramos up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Rangel manages to pull guard.
Rangel being controlled here, momentarily.
Ramos wants to control from the top but Rangel keeps moving.
Rangel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ramos controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Ramos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Tony Ramos just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Ramos keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ramos doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Rangel counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Ramos tries to work over Rangel's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Rangel has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Ramos - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Rangel, and another! Ramos is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
