Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mariano Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romulo Correa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Correa has chosen Paranoid as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mariano Castro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Romulo Correa!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Correa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Castro somewhat.
Castro throws a leg kick but Correa moved away.
Castro shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Correa defends it nicely.
Correa leaves Castro with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mariano Castro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Correa avoids the head kick by Castro.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Correa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Castro bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Correa in particular looking to stall.
Let's hope that Correa has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Romulo Correa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Romulo Correa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Correa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
