Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Corbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Athos Dorian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dorian is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: DMX-We in here. The key to victory for Max Corbett has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Corbett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Athos Dorian! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corbett misses with a wild combination.
Dorian closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Corbett wants to control but Dorian is keeping busy.
Dorian postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Corbett to stand up. Dorian shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Dorian is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Corbett is surviving well by controlling Dorian's body position as best he can. Dorian with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Corbett is trying to escape the mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dorian looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Dorian looks gassed! Dorian is looking to work his way around to Corbett's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Corbett is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Corbett reaches up and holds on to Dorian to control the position. Dorian wants to control the pace but Corbett is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Corbett really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Corbett slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Dorian trying to advance position but Corbett counters by regaining guard. Corbett not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dorian wants to control from the top but Corbett keeps moving. Dorian looking to pass the guard. Corbett pulls Dorian in to control the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Corbett is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dorian wants to get back to his feet but Corbett is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Corbett landing with the ground and pound. Corbett loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Dorian avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Corbett trying to control but Dorian is working from the bottom. Corbett with a nice head shot there. Corbett lands a couple of decent looking shots. Corbett throwing strikes but missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Athos Dorian dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Corbett throws a combination. Dorian tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Athos Dorian has been cut. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dorian is defended easily by Corbett. No joy there for Corbett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dorian shoots for a takedown but Corbett saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Corbett lands a jab to the head.

Max Corbett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good exchange - Corbett coming out on top. Corbett jabs at Dorian's body. Dorian is breathing heavily. Corbett ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A leg kick checked by Dorian. Corbett works the jab nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corbett lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Dorian on the wrong end of a nice hook. Jab by Corbett. Corbett lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Corbett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dorian circles away quickly and effectively. Corbett walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dorian checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Corbett lands with an uppercut that bounces Dorian off the cage and back into rage. Corbett scores with a body shot.
Corbett attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Corbett moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dorian shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. A nice combination there by Corbett.
Max Corbett is winning the standup battle so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corbett scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Corbett throws a series of punches but Dorian avoids them all with ease. Corbett lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Corbett throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Corbett throws a hook but Dorian blocks it. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Corbett!
Max Corbett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Corbett connects with the punch. Dorian slips a jab and a cross from Corbett.
Corbett throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dorian. A lazy left from Corbett finds it's target. Corbett scores with a jab. Dorian acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Corbett wants to land a leg kick but Dorian is out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dorian on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Dorian takes one to the chin there. A solid leg kick lands there for Corbett.
Corbett fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Dorian is out of range. Corbett tries a low kick but Dorian avoids it. Donk. Corbett catches Dorian right on the button with a cross. Dorian uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Corbett. Corbett scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Corbett with a nice cross. Dorian walks into a left hand. Dorian takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Corbett turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Corbett shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Corbett was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dorian keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corbett scoring with strikes but Dorian is staying in there. Corbett wants to control the pace but Dorian is squirming around nicely. Dorian taking shots to the head. Corbett is landing with some decent strikes but Dorian is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Corbett tries to control but Dorian wriggling away. Corbett has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dorian's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Corbett dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Athos Dorian's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Corbett wants to slow Dorian down by chopping away at his legs. Corbett cracks Dorian with a good jab. Dorian walks into a stiff left hand from Corbett. Dorian blocks a jab. Corbett throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dorian sees it coming and avoids it easily. Dorian shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Corbett napping and manages to drive through into side control! Corbett tries to improve position but can't. Corbett is working hard here to advance position. Corbett can't do much from the bottom here. Corbett knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dorian on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dorian working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dorian trying to control the position but Corbett is working away. Dorian tries for a kimura but Corbett is defending well. Who's going to make the next move?
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Corbett manages to work his way to half guard, despite Dorian's best efforts. Corbett is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dorian can do to turn this around? Corbett has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dorian is working away from the top position though. Corbett tries to roll over but Dorian keeps him under control. Dorian is pressing down on Corbett's thigh, looking to free his foot. Corbett is holding on for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corbett trying to control but Dorian postures up.
Corbett is trying to get back to full guard. Corbett is trying to maintain the position but Dorian is very close to passing his half guard. Corbett works his way to full guard. Good work. Corbett tries to land a sweep but no joy.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Corbett throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Corbett fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Corbett scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Corbett keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Corbett throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Corbett scores with a punch to the head. Corbett connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dorian's hands. Dorian slips under a jab. Corbett connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dorian momentarily.
Corbett tests Dorian's chin there with a solid looking shot. Dorian dodges the punch combination from Corbett.
Corbett connects with a body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Max Corbett showed his dominance in that final round. Well Corbett has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
