Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Payne comes to the cage accompanied by Adema- everyone . Griffin has chosen Big Punisher- Beware as his entrance music. Forrest Griffin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Payne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Forrest Griffin! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin tries to clinch up but Payne circles away and keeps his distance. Griffin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Payne manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Payne is looking to escape. Payne tries to roll over but Griffin keeps him under control. Griffin scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Payne blocking the ground and pound attempt from Griffin. Griffin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Griffin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Payne controlling the position well. Griffin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Nice strikes from Griffin there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin throwing shots but Payne is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Griffin working over Payne with some ground and pound. Payne looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Griffin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Payne defending well though. Payne has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Griffin is working away from the top position though. Payne keeps control of the position for the meantime. Griffin drops an elbow to the side of Payne's head. Griffin not landing any meaningful shots this time. Payne might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Griffin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Payne slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Payne bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Griffin's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin tries to strike from the bottom.
Griffin looks gassed! Payne wants to control from the top but Griffin keeps moving. Payne tries to free his leg and advance position but Griffin is retaining full guard. Payne trying to control the position from guard on top but Griffin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Griffin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Payne is one step ahead there. Payne advances position into side control! Payne moves into full mount! Griffin is in all sorts of trouble here.
Payne fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Griffin defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Payne.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Payne landing strikes from the mount and Griffin is in trouble! Payne quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Payne but it's paid off an Griffin is forced to tap! Nice work by Payne.
