Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Claude Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mousasi comes to the cage accompanied by Hi-Gate: Pitchin. The crowd seem to be enjoying Jones's choice of entrance music: Amazing - Kanye West. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Sam Jones enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jean Claude Mousasi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sam Jones! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mousasi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jones napping and manages to drive through into side control! Mousasi wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. Jones is trying to control Mousasi's posture but Mousasi avoids it. Mousasi throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Jones works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Mousasi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Mousasi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones looks like he's trying to stand up.
Mousasi controlling the pace. Jones regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Mousasi.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mousasi wants to get up but he can't break Jones's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. A frustrated look appears on Mousasi's face as he tries to break the clinch. Mousasi blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Jones lands an elbow that stopped Mousasi in his tracks for a moment. Jones is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mousasi is defending well for now. Jones landing knees to the body.
Jones lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Mousasi pulls guard. Mousasi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mousasi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mousasi tries to get out of the position. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Mousasi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mousasi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground. Jones is fighting to break Mousasi's control of his arms but Mousasi is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mousasi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mousasi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there. Mousasi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mousasi is trying to control the position but Jones postures up. Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mousasi pushes Jones off and gets back to his feet.
Jones closes the distance looking to clinch so Mousasi counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Mousasi throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Jones manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Mousasi misses with a kick to the body and Jones holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Jones lands a good knee to the midsection. Mousasi won't want to take too many of those. Jones wants to stall.

Jones closes the distance but Mousasi moves to the side and Mousasi counters with a two punch combo. Mousasi circles away from the clinch attempt and Mousasi counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Mousasi throws a sloppy head kick and Jones counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones with a knee to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mousasi has Jones pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jones manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Mousasi. Nice elbow from Jones. Mousasi is trying to break free. Jones prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A looping hook to the body misses from Mousasi. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet. Jean Claude Mousasi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones closes the distance but Mousasi moves to the side and Mousasi counters by clinching up. Jones connects with a knee to the head.

Jones is fighting it off but Mousasi persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jones's guard against the cage. Jones managing to control the position. Mousasi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now. Mousasi postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.
Mousasi will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Mousasi wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Jones is now in half guard. Mousasi throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Jones manages to pass to side control. Mousasi is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control. Jones landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Mousasi is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Jones trying to control the action but Mousasi is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Sam Jones will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Mousasi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mousasi won't allow Jones to sweep him here. Jones wants to stand up but Mousasi is controlling him. Mousasi throws and elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mousasi's guard. Nice move by Jones! Mousasi controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Mousasi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jean Claude Mousasi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mousasi swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jones gets caught flat footed, as Mousasi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Jones trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Jones scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Jones rushes Mousasi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jones unloads a knee to the mid-section. Jones gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Mousasi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jean Claude Mousasi. I think Mousasi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
