Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Dirst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Hickok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Don Dirst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Hickok!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickok misses with a double jab.
Dirst looks to land a combination but Hickok avoids it well.
Dirst misses with a looping right.
Dirst takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Dirst throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hickok sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hickok avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The fighters circle momentarily. Dirst darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Dirst will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dirst throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dirst throws out a loose jab but Hickok uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hickok staying out of range there.
Hickok moves in looking to clinch but Dirst pushes him off.

and Hickok counters with a straight right hand.

Don Dirst seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dirst throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hickok slips a straight right by Dirst.

Dirst pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

and Hickok counters with a nice body kick.
Donk. Hickok catches Dirst right on the button with a cross.

Hickok takes the fight into the clinch.
Hickok pushes Dirst back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Dirst is breathing heavily.
Hickok lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Dirst.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dirst misses with a hook to the ribs.
Dirst tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hickok's elbow.

Hickok pushes Dirst back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Hickok continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.

Hickok digs a right hand into Dirst's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Dirst's gas tank.

Dirst tries to throw a body punch but Hickok avoids it by throwing Dirst back against the cage.

Hickok wants the takedown. Dirst is fighting it off but Hickok persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dirst's guard against the cage.

Hickok slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Hickok drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hickok jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Dirst wants to sweep here but Hickok controlling him for the moment.

Hickok works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hickok is figuring out what he wants to do next.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dirst is in trouble now - Hickok has advanced to mount!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dirst tries to reverse the position but Hickok maintains control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bill Hickok dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dirst swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Hickok counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hickok lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Dirst or not.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Hickok blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Dirst makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Hickok turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hickok manages to end up in side control.
Dirst prevents Hickok from moving into mount.
Hickok is looking to take a break and control but Dirst is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hickok has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Hickok wants to take Dirst's back here but Dirst is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dirst is trying desperately to improve position.
Dirst is working hard here to advance position.
Dirst tries to lock up and control but Hickok gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Dirst is looking to get to half guard.
Dirst wants to control but Hickok is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hickok looking to control and managing it successfully.

Hickok moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Dirst has worked his arm free - good work by Dirst!

Hickok is trying to get an arm triangle but Dirst is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dirst struggling a bit here.
Dirst tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hickok tries to move into full mount but can't pass Dirst's legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bill Hickok showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Dirst cracks the inside of Hickok's front leg.
Nice defenses there by Hickok.
Dirst throws a big shot that misses.
Hickok cracks Dirst with an open hand slap.
Dirst walks into a stiff left hand from Hickok.
Dirst misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dirst misses with a shot to the body
and Hickok makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Dirst counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hickok tries to clinch up but Dirst circles away and keeps his distance.
Dirst moves out of range of the body kick from Hickok.
Hickok displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dirst throws out the jab.

Dirst throws a hook to the side of Hickok's head but Hickok sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Hickok counters with a body kick that stops Dirst in his tracks momentarily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dirst gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hickok.
Hickok stuns Dirst with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hickok throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hickok scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Hickok closes the distance and clinches.
Dirst misses with a punch on the inside.
Hickok stalling the fight.
The crowd are getting on Hickok's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Bill Hickok comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hickok has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
