Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mocha Joe! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy instigates a clinch. A frustrated look appears on Murphy's face as he tries to break the clinch. Murphy gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Joe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Murphy defends well. Murphy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joe on the ground. Murphy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Joe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Murphy has managed to get both his arms back between Joe's legs - danger averted. Joe had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Murphy is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Joe Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Murphy's back instead. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Murphy is really stuck here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Murphy trying to control the action but Joe just sinks the hooks in. Murphy is trying to get back to his feet but Joe has full control of the position and if anything, Murphy has just worked his way into a worse spot. Joe is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Murphy is tapping out! This one is all over!
