Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Aloha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forest Evens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evens has chosen Ayo as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aloha shoots in looking for a takedown. Evens tries to sprawl out of it but Aloha keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Evens manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Aloha has a takedown stuffed. Evens feints and as Aloha raises his hands in defense, Evens changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Aloha working for a triangle but Evens defends it easily.
Evens trying to control but Aloha is working from the bottom. Evens is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Evens controlling from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evens trying to control the position from guard on top but Aloha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Despite being in the dominant position, Forest Evens just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Evens misses with a takedown attempt so Aloha counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Aloha drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Evens dives on top into guard. Evens looking to sit in guard and control but Aloha gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Aloha thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Aloha drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aloha jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Evens looking to hit a scissor sweep but Aloha is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aloha looking to pass the guard. Aloha trying to control the position from guard on top but Evens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Evens scores with a takedown into Aloha's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aloha keeping moving, preventing Evens from controlling successfully. Aloha wants to stand but Evens is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Aloha looking to hit a scissor sweep but Evens is one step ahead there. Evens avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Evens missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Evens trying to control the position from guard on top but Aloha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Evens looking to sit in guard and control but Aloha gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Forest Evens will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Aloha wants to stand and escape but Evens is having none of it. Evens wants to control from the top but Aloha keeps moving. Aloha wants to get back to his feet but Evens is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Aloha keeping moving, preventing Evens from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Aloha shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Evens as he jumps to the side. Evens has his takedown stuffed and Aloha counters with a nice double leg into side control. Evens won't be happy with that. Aloha has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Evens is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Aloha yanks on the arm and Evens is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Aloha.
