Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Lorenz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lorenz comes to the cage accompanied by Face the Pain. Roger Cross will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Lorenz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roger Cross!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross shoots in for a takedown but Lorenz shows good takedown defense.
Cross lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lorenz backs up against the cage.
Cross leaves Lorenz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lorenz throws a sloppy head kick and Cross moves out of range easily.
Cross clinches with his opponent.
Lorenz jumps into guard, dragging Cross to the mat.
Cross stopping the sweep attempt from Lorenz.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cross accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lorenz pulls Cross in close to prevent any damage.
Cross wants to control from the top but Lorenz keeps moving.
Cross in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Lorenz throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lorenz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cross!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lorenz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Lorenz won't let Cross get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Cross looks gassed!
Lorenz controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lorenz thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Lorenz trying to control but Cross is having none of it.
Cross is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cross might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lorenz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Lorenz working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Cross looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Lorenz! Submission of the night perhaps?
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Thomas Lorenz!
