Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Das Boot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boot's entrance music is You Dont Know - 50 Cent. A fine choice. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Williams!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A shot to de liver by Williams. Beautiful body shot.
Williams throws out a loose jab but Boot uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boot walks into a left hand.
A leg kick checked by Boot.
Boot ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Boot closes the distance and pushes Williams back into the ropes.
Williams gets underhooks to prevent Boot's takedown attempt.
Boot can't get the takedown.

Boot ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Paul Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boot shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Boot with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Williams to score with a decent uppercut.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Boot shoots in looking for a takedown. Williams tries to sprawl out of it but Boot keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Williams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Williams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boot moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Boot counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Boot wants to lay and pray for a moment but Williams keeps working.

Boot is working for a kimura here but Williams manages to reverse the position and he's now in Boot's guard.

Williams gets to his feet - Boot follows without any prompting.
Williams tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Boot is able to avoid easily.
Williams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boot moves away.
Boot showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Williams.
Williams throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Boot drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Williams dives on top into guard.

Boot is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Williams stops Boot from standing up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Williams stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Williams jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nice uppercut lands for Williams. That snapped Boot's head back.
Williams stuns Boot with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Williams throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Williams throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Boot sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Boot ducks under a wild hook from Williams.
Williams pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Williams throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Williams misses with a jab, cross combination.
Boot looks to land a combination but Williams avoids it well.
Williams throws a left and a right that both miss
and Boot cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A big left from Williams misses.
Williams throws a body punch but Boot moves out of range.
Boot is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Boot tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Williams throws a right hand that Boot ducks under and follows up with a left that Boot also avoids with ease.
A combination from Williams does no damage.

Boot drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Williams is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Boot asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Boot tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Boot has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Boot goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Williams has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Boot but great work by Williams.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Boot is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Williams off and has taken his back!

Boot has gone for a leg lock! Williams slips out almost immediately though and dives into Boot's guard.
Boot controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself.

Williams prevents Boot from getting back to his feet.
Boot looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Williams would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Boot is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Williams defends well.
Williams wants to stand but Boot is controlling his posture from full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Williams wants to stand and escape but instead Boot has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Boot drops back, looking for a kneebar! Williams looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Williams looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Williams!

Williams tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Boot wants to control but Williams postures up.
Boot tries to improve position but can't.
Boot struggling a bit here.

Williams stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Paul Williams is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Williams throws a jab but it's blocked by Boot.
Nice defenses there by Boot.
Williams misses with a looping right.
Williams takes a swing at Boot's ribcage but misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Boot shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. Williams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boot gets slowly back to his feet.
Williams walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Boot checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Das Boot.
I think Williams has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
