Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bezerra da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Pendridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bezerra da Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Pendridge!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Pendridge swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
da Silva tries to clinch but Pendridge moves out of range.
da Silva tries to clinch but Pendridge moves out of range.
da Silva tries to clinch there but Pendridge circles away.
da Silva is looking to clinch but Pendridge is avoiding it.
Pendridge shoots for a takedown but da Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
da Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Pendridge circles away.
da Silva tries to clinch up but Pendridge circles away and keeps his distance.
da Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Pendridge swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
da Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pendridge pulls out of a head kick attempt.
da Silva tries to clinch but Pendridge moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

da Silva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pendridge tries to free his leg and advance position but da Silva is retaining full guard.
da Silva wants to stand up but Pendridge is controlling him.
da Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pendridge on the ground.

Pendridge decides to stand and escape the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pendridge keeps the fight on the outside.
da Silva tries to clinch but Pendridge moves out of range.
da Silva tries to clinch but Pendridge is having none of it.
Pendridge is trying hard to land a takedown here. da Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Pendridge shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as da Silva sprawls well. da Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pendridge gets slowly back to his feet.
Bezerra da Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Pendridge.
da Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pendridge swats him away and circles back towards the center.
da Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Pendridge circles away.

da Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pendridge paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pendridge moves into the clinch successfully.
Pendridge is pushing da Silva up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
da Silva is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Pendridge is defending well for now.
Pendridge is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Pendridge drags the fight down to the ground.
Pendridge tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Pendridge has da Silva pulled in close to control his posture.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Pendridge working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. da Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. da Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pendridge throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luke Pendridge dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Pendridge shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has da Silva pinned against the cage. da Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
da Silva closes the distance but Pendridge moves to the side

and Pendridge counters with a nice double leg into side control. da Silva won't be happy with that.
da Silva pushes Pendridge away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pendridge gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

da Silva is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pendridge in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Pendridge is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. da Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Pendridge lands an elbow.

Pendridge stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Nice sprawl there from da Silva as Pendridge shoots in.

Pendridge instigates a clinch.
da Silva looks to throw an elbow but misses.
da Silva prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bezerra da Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Pendridge.
da Silva throws an elbow but it misses.
da Silva pushes off an throws an elbow but Pendridge leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Pendridge jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pendridge has da Silva pulled in close to control his posture.

Pendridge lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for da Silva!
Pendridge can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as da Silva is looking to escape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pendridge breaks from da Silva's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luke Pendridge showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Pendridge throws an uppercut from half a mile away. da Silva sees it coming and avoids it easily.
da Silva closes the distance but Pendridge moves to the side

and Pendridge counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Pendridge is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Pendridge thows a big elbow that misses.
Pendridge seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
da Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Pendridge advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Pendridge trying to control the pace.
Pendridge wants to control but da Silva is keeping him busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Despite being in the dominant position, Luke Pendridge just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
da Silva closes the distance but Pendridge moves to the side

and Pendridge counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pendridge.
Pendridge controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Pendridge passes da Silva's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Pendridge decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Pendridge moves into the clinch successfully.
Pendridge blocks an elbow strike from da Silva.

Pendridge decides to pull guard.

Pendridge is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Pendridge pulls da Silva in close to his closed guard and prevents da Silva from doing any damage or advancing position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Pendridge escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. da Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Pendridge looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Luke Pendridge comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Pendridge winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
