PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Hendrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coraje Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hendrix might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Three Days Grace - Riot. Coraje Rage is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rage shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rage was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hendrix wants to control but Rage is having none of it.
Rage content just to control the position here.
Hendrix is trying to stand but he's just given Rage his back.
Hendrix breaks Rage's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Hendrix wants to control from the top but Rage keeps moving.
Hendrix is looking to work some ground and pound but Rage has wrist control.
Hendrix knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rage on the ground.
Rage seems keen to control Hendrix's posture.
Hendrix wants to stand but Rage is controlling his posture from full guard.

Rage pushes Hendrix off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Rage bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Rage wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hendrix, who protects the arm well.
Hendrix is not content to let Rage control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hendrix trying to control but Rage flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Rage is hanging on to Hendrix's back as he tries to escape.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Rage controlling the positon.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rage really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Hendrix.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coraje Rage dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Hendrix throws a combination. Rage tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Coraje Rage has been cut.
Rage ducks under a wild hook from Hendrix.
Hendrix lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rage backs up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hendrix throws a leg kick but Rage sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hendrix lands a nice shot that snaps Rage's head back.
Rage will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hendrix scores with a kick to the midsection.
Hendrix moves in looking to clinch but Rage pushes him off.
Tyler Hendrix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hendrix lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rage circles away quickly and effectively.
Rage throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hendrix's waist but Hendrix gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rage off to one side.
Hendrix throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Rage crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tyler Hendrix!
