Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diesel Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kauko Kaarna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power comes into the arena with Holier than thou blaring out of the sound system. Kaarna is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rolling Stones - Paint it black. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kaarna napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sloppy strikes there by Power.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kaarna manages to get back to half guard.
Kaarna is defending against the submission attempts here by Power.
Power is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Power is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kaarna tries to roll over but Power keeps him under control.

Power looks to land a strike but Kaarna avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Kaarna manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Power avoids a strike by Kaarna and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Kaarna's guard! Fantastic escape!
Power postures up in Kaarna's guard and throws a big left but Kaarna blocks it.
Kaarna pushes Power off and scrambles back to his feet.

Kaarna tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Power tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kaarna sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Power somewhat.
Power swats away the attempt to clinch by Kaarna.
Kaarna moves in looking to clinch but Power pushes him off.
Power moves into the clinch successfully.
Power pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Power shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Power unloads with some shots from mount but Kaarna bucks and avoids them well.
Kaarna tries to hold on but Power pushes him away.
Power looking to control but Kaarna is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kaarna wants to control but Power is having none of it.
Power throws some wild stikes that Kaarna manages to avoid easily.

Power avoids the attempt from Kaarna to control.
Kaarna tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kaarna is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Power has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Power goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kaarna turns into him and now he's in Power's guard.
Kaarna throws and elbow that misses. Power uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kaarna's guard. Nice move by Power!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kaarna keeping moving, preventing Power from controlling successfully.
Power pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kaarna is keeping the position for now.
Kaarna manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Power tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kaarna trying to control but Power is having none of it.
Power holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kaarna tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Diesel Power will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kaarna tries to clinch but Power moves out of range.
Power tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kaarna swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kaarna doesn't manage to clinch there - Power circles away.
Power gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kaarna to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Power not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kaarna is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Kaarna looking to sit in guard and control but Power gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kaarna wants to sweep but no luck.

Kaarna manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Power manages to get himself to full guard.

Power pulls Kaarna in close to his closed guard and prevents Kaarna from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kaarna postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Power is on top in guard.

Power is looking to work some ground and pound but Kaarna has wrist control.
Kaarna has Power pulled in close to control his posture.
Power working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kaarna's head.
Kaarna is looking to stand up but Power isn't so interested in that idea.
Power has gone for a leg lock! Kaarna slips out almost immediately though and dives into Power's guard.

Kaarna trying to control but Power is working from the bottom.
Kaarna tries to free his leg and advance position but Power is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Power fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kaarna avoids it really well and circles away.
Kaarna closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kaarna lands in his opponent's guard.
Kaarna is looking to work some ground and pound but Power has wrist control.
Kauko Kaarna has got the better of the ground game so far.

Power scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Kaarna gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Power wants a takedown but no success here.
Kaarna is pressed up against the cage. Power has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kaarna down to the mat. Kaarna avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diesel Power. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Power shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Power counters with a takedown into side control.

Kaarna is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Power misses with a head shot. Kaarna uses the momentum to regain guard.
Kaarna wants to get back to his feet but Power is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Power is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kaarna has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kaarna!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kaarna trying to control the position from guard on top but Power is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kaarna loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kaarna wants to lay and pray for a moment but Power keeps working.
Kaarna landing a few strikes.
Kaarna tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Power is trying to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kaarna is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Power will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Diesel Power.
I think Power has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
