Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Naoki Fujii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Soral Punkass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Naoki Fujii could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Soral Punkass's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Naoki Fujii! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Soral Punkass! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Punkass misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Punkass is looking to chop away at Fujii's legs. Punkass throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Punkass wants to clinch. A good leg kick by Punkass. Punkass throws a chopping leg kick but Fujii manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Punkass is looking to slow Fujii down with leg kicks. Punkass throws a wild body kick that Fujii sees coming a mile off. Punkass attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Punkass swings away with a leg kick that misses. Punkass lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Punkass throws a low kick but Fujii avoids it. Fujii checks a leg kick. Punkass tries to land a leg kick but Fujii saw it coming and moves away.
Fujii shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Punkass's guard. Fujii stops Punkass from standing up. Fujii in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Fujii trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fujii advances to half guard. Fujii looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Punkass is trying to stand up here but Fujii is controlling him well. Fujii is looking to take a break and control but Punkass is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Punkass wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Punkass misses with a leg kick. Soral Punkass is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fujii moves out of range of the leg kick from Punkass. Punkass feints and then cracks Fujii's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fujii down. Good leg kick by Punkass there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
No luck for Fujii with that takedown attempt. Punkass throws a front kick aimed at Fujii's knee but Fujii avoids it well. Punkass is looking to land body kicks. Punkass throws a leg kick but Fujii checks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fujii misses with a hook. Punkass ducked under it nicely. Punkass throws a half hearted mid kick. Punkass throws a push kick but Fujii slaps the foot to one side. Soral Punkass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Punkass looks to land a body kick but Fujii moved away. Punkass throws a head kick but Fujii moves out of range.

Fujii throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Punkass was covering up waiting for the punch and Fujii finishes the takedown easily into guard. Fujii trying to control but Punkass is working from the bottom. Fujii drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fujii jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Punkass is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fujii is controlling him. Punkass keeping moving, preventing Fujii from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fujii stays in close to Punkass's body and controls the position. Fujii wants to pass the guard but Punkass is keeping the position. Punkass is looking to stand up but Fujii isn't so interested in that idea.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A head kick misses from Punkass. Fujii changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Punkass looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Fujii tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fujii has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Fujii is breathing heavily. Punkass is trying to escape the position but Fujii is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fujii is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Punkass is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Punkass pushes Fujii away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Fujii gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Fujii trying to control the action but Punkass is working from the bottom. Fujii in side control, throwing shots but Punkass defends. Punkass is not content to let Fujii control the position. Punkass is trying to buck Fujii off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Naoki Fujii dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Punkass misses with an attempted mid kick.
Punkass throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Fujii's head. A leg kick checked by Fujii. Fujii fails with a takedown attempt. Punkass tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Punkass misses with a kick to the body.
Punkass wants to clinch up but Fujii keeps it at a distance. Punkass moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Punkass throws a push kick but Fujii slaps the foot to one side. Punkass misses with a head kick.
Fujii checks a leg kick. Punkass misses with a leg kick. Punkass throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Punkass wants to slow Fujii down by chopping away at his legs. Fujii looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Punkass! Fujii looking to secure an arm triangle but Punkass defends it well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Punkass wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Punkass really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fujii. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fujii looking to control but Punkass is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Punkass is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Fujii wants to take his opponent's back but Punkass doesn't allow it. Punkass is trying to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fujii controlling from mount. Fujii looking to control but Punkass is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Punkass is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Fujii pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fujii wants to finish this one by submission but Punkass is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Fujii. Punkass is squirming around, avoiding Fujii's attempts to control the action. Punkass tries to buck Fujii off but he can't manage it. Fujii has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Punkass's face.
Punkass is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Fujii wants to take Punkass's back but he can't do it this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fujii moves to back control. Punkass is keeping busy.
Punkass is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Fujii off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Fujii working for a choke but Punkass is defending well. Punkass is trying to get back to his feet but Fujii has full control of the position and if anything, Punkass has just worked his way into a worse spot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Naoki Fujii dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Good work by Fujii as he checks the leg kick. Punkass scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Donk. Fujii catches Punkass right on the button with a cross. Punkass misses with a low kick.
Punkass throws a sloppy head kick and Fujii moves out of range easily. Fujii stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Punkass. Punkass misses with an attempted mid kick.
Punkass lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Fujii shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Punkass is trying to defend but Fujii finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Fujii wants to lay and pray for a moment but Punkass keeps working. Fujii tries to pass to full mount but Punkass defends it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fujii stalling away here and it's allowed Punkass to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fujii wants to control from the top but Punkass keeps moving. Fujii is looking to advance position but Punkass has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Punkass is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Fujii is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Punkass is looking to stand but Punkass has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Punkass get's back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fujii tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Punkass swivels and escapes. Punkass misses with a head kick.
Punkass is looking to chop away at Fujii's legs. Punkass thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Fujii if he has to take too many more of those.
Punkass throws a quick inside leg kick. Punkass throws a leg kick but Fujii sees it coming and checks it nicely. Punkass cracks the inside of Fujii's front leg. Fujii connects with the punch. Fujii is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Fujii closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fujii prevents Punkass from escaping the position. Fujii tries to advance to mount but can't. Punkass is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Punkass wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Fujii is looking to take a break and control but Punkass is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Naoki Fujii is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fujii trying to control the position from guard on top but Punkass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Punkass is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Fujii wants to control from the top but Punkass keeps moving. Soral Punkass has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fujii is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Naoki Fujii. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fujii, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
