PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kikkeli Kalle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdul Malik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Malik's choice of entrance music: Soldier Side. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Abdul Malik!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malik connects with a single shot there.
Some wild striking there from Malik.
Malik looks to land a combination. Kalle sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Kalle shoots in for a double leg but Malik sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Malik looks to throw the jab but Kalle is out of range.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kalle.
Malik is looking for a sweep.
Malik wants to control but Kalle postures up.

Kalle is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Malik has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kalle is breathing heavily.
Malik is trying to buck Kalle off.

Malik lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Malik rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kalle moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Malik counters with a nice body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Malik feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Malik lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Kalle shoots in and bounces Malik off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Abdul Malik comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Malik has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
