Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dec Nsoni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shane Carson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dec Nsoni's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Carson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dec Nsoni! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Carson keeps the fight on the outside. Nsoni lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Nsoni jabs at Carson's body. Nsoni tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Carson blocks a head kick by Nsoni.
Nsoni just misses with a punch to the body.
Carson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Carson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Carson is trying to work for a kimura but Nsoni is defending well.
Nsoni looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carson controlling the pace. Nsoni is trying to maintain the position but Carson is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nsoni was covering up waiting for the punch and Carson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Carson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nsoni is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Carson, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nsoni has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Carson is proving hard to escape from. Nsoni looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Nsoni has had enough of the clinch but Carson keeps him there for the moment. Carson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Carson trying to control the position but Nsoni is working away. Carson happy to just control the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nsoni is trying to improve his position. Nsoni wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Carson scoring with punches from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Shane Carson will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Carson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nsoni is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Some wild striking there from Nsoni.
Carson feints and as Nsoni raises his hands in defense, Carson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Nsoni is trying to keep Carson in close.
Nsoni is looking to stand up but Carson isn't so interested in that idea. Nsoni is breathing heavily. Nsoni keeping full guard, as Carson tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carson stops Nsoni from standing up. Carson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Carson wants to control from the top but Nsoni keeps moving. Carson with a flurry of punches that miss. Nsoni trying to control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nsoni throws a head kick that half lands.
Carson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Nsoni! Carson with shots to the head and body - Nsoni looks very uncomfortable down there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carson putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nsoni really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Carson looking to control and managing it successfully. Carson throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Carson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Nsoni has worked his arm free - good work by Nsoni!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carson trying to control the action but Nsoni is working from the bottom. Nsoni is trying to control Carson's posture but Carson avoids it. Carson wants to control for a moment but Nsoni uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Nsoni wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The fighters are battling for position here. Carson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Nsoni wants to stand and escape but instead Carson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carson postures up in Nsoni's guard and throws a big left but Nsoni blocks it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Carson dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Carson lands a head kick. Nsoni smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Carson has Nsoni up against the cage in a clinch.
Carson drags the fight down to the ground.
Nsoni wants to stand and escape but instead Carson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Nsoni keeping full guard, as Carson tries to pass. Carson postures up.
Carson wants to control from the top but Nsoni keeps moving. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Carson gets to his feet - Nsoni follows without any prompting.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carson on the wrong end of a nice jab. Carson blocks a head kick by Nsoni.
Nsoni scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Nsoni wants to clinch and Carson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Carson postures up.
Carson controlling from the top position. Carson trying to control the position from guard on top but Nsoni is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nsoni looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Carson prevents Nsoni from getting back to his feet. Shane Carson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Carson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Nsoni is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Carson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Carson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nsoni is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Carson, into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nsoni decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carson, up you get! Nsoni scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nsoni keeps the fight on the outside. Carson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Carson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Nsoni trying to control from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carson content to control rather than advance. It looks like Carson is going to stand back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Shane Carson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
