Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill hardas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Wilson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bill hardas! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! hardas gets the takedown into side control. Wilson throws hardas to one side and escapes! Wilson stuffs the takedown attempt from hardas. hardas gets slowly back to his feet. hardas keeps the fight on the outside. hardas has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Wilson. hardas looks gassed! hardas gets caught flat footed, as Wilson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Wilson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Wilson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. hardas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson stays in close to hardas's body and controls the position. Wilson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Wilson decides to stand back up. Wilson is looking to clinch. hardas misses with a takedown and Wilson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in hardas's guard now. hardas is looking for a triangle but Wilson pushes his legs off easily.
hardas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wilson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wilson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. hardas has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Wilson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for hardas. Wilson decides to stand back up. Wilson steps back and let's hardas get back to his feet. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Wilson tries to clinch but hardas moves out of range. hardas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wilson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in hardas's guard. Steve Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill hardas. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! hardas working for submissions but it's allowed Wilson to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. hardas manages to get to full guard.
hardas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. hardas scores with a couple of good hammerfists. hardas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wilson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. hardas stalling away here and it's allowed Wilson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. hardas working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wilson's head. hardas trying to stand up but can't free himself from Wilson's guard. hardas wants to pass the guard but Wilson is keeping the position. Wilson keeping moving, preventing hardas from controlling successfully. hardas scores with a decent looking elbow strike. hardas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. hardas wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving.
That's five minutes gone in the round. hardas drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wilson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now hardas has Wilson in his guard. Wilson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. hardas shoots and misses and Wilson counters with a shoot takedown. hardas fights it but they end up in guard. hardas seems keen to control Wilson's posture. hardas wants to hit a switch here but Wilson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for hardas there! Wilson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Wilson get's back to his feet. Wilson pushes hardas up against the cage in a clinch. Wilson pulls guard effortlessly. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Wilson pushes hardas off and scrambles back to his feet.
Wilson clinches. Wilson jumps into guard, dragging hardas to the mat.
Wilson pushes hardas off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Wilson clinches with his opponent.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Wilson misses with a knee to the head. hardas letting Wilson take a breather here. Wilson using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. hardas is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Wilson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. hardas wants to stand and escape but instead Wilson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. hardas is trying to control the position but Wilson postures up.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. hardas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
hardas pulls Wilson in close to his closed guard and prevents Wilson from doing any damage or advancing position. hardas looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Wilson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. hardas is trying to get back to full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wilson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Wilson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Wilson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
