The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morales will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Morales is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Severino is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Severino counters with a takedown into side control.
Morales wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Morales wants to get back to his feet.
Severino throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Morales works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Severino slips a nice elbow through Morales's hands, connecting with Morales's forehead.

Valdema Severino showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Morales gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Severino to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Morales is looking to stand up but Severino isn't so interested in that idea.

Severino takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Severino stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Morales has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Severino manages to get his head free but now Morales has transitioned to an armbar! Severino grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Morales! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
