Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between tanner barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and micheal jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, tanner barker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, micheal jackson! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - barker looks like he's thinking about clinching though. barker scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. jackson pushes barker off and gets back to his feet. jackson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. barker did well to prevent jackson getting side control. jackson wants to pass to mount but barker is defending the position. jackson wants to take a breather but barker is having none of it. barker wants to get back to full guard but jackson has passed into side control. jackson landing strikes from the mount and barker is in trouble! barker is trying to escape the mount.

That's one minute gone in the round. barker tries to get back to half guard but can't. jackson avoids the attempt from barker to control. jackson controlling his opponent. barker tries to get back to half guard but can't. jackson is working for a guillotine from mount but barker frees his head quite easily.
barker is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. jackson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as barker is looking to escape. jackson avoids the attempt from barker to control. barker is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. jackson get's back to his feet. jackson fails with the takedown so barker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. barker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. jackson looking to hit a scissor sweep but barker is one step ahead there. jackson looks gassed! barker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as jackson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. barker wants to control from the top but jackson keeps moving. barker showing good wrestling skills to control the position. barker prevents jackson from getting back to his feet. barker wants to stand but jackson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but micheal jackson will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
jackson misses with a takedown and barker counters with a good low kick that jackson was not able to check. barker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. barker showed some decent athleticism there. barker works his foot free and advances to mount. jackson wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. jackson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. jackson is breathing heavily. barker raining down shots from the mount! barker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. barker's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. A nice elbow there by barker. jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. jackson tries to control the position but barker now has his back.

Will barker go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
jackson manages to reverse the position and now he's in barker's guard. Nice work there by jackson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. jackson won't allow barker to get back to his feet. barker is trying to control the position but jackson postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. barker throws a right and a left that both miss. jackson darts in trying to clinch and barker moves into the clinch. jackson prevents a takedown attempt there.
jackson drops down looking for an ankle pick but barker pulls his leg out and moves away.
barker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. barker goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now jackson is on top in guard.
jackson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. barker wants to sweep but no luck. jackson lands a couple of digs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
tanner barker dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
jackson is looking to clinch. jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. jackson tries for a takedown but barker circles away easily and barker counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A frustrated look appears on barker's face as he tries to break the clinch. barker gets control of jackson's arms and successfully pulls guard. barker will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. barker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if barker tries to get out of the position. barker working a defensive guard but jackson manages to pass into side control anyway.
barker gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! barker is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round. jackson with shots to the head and body - barker looks very uncomfortable down there. jackson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but barker is surviving well by controlling jackson's body position as best he can. barker tries to lock up and control but jackson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. barker is squirming around, avoiding jackson's attempts to control the action. jackson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But barker has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from barker! jackson has a closed guard, preventing barker from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. barker sitting in guard, not really doing much. There's a bit of a scramble here and now jackson is on top in guard.
barker wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. jackson is looking to work some ground and pound but barker has wrist control. barker is looking to sweep but instead, jackson has passed into half guard.
jackson trying to work for an americana but barker has managed to regain full guard.
barker is trying to control the position but jackson postures up. jackson looking to pass the guard. barker wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. barker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. tanner barker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. barker keeping full guard, as jackson tries to pass. barker pulls jackson in close to his closed guard and prevents jackson from doing any damage or advancing position. jackson stopping the sweep attempt from barker.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to tanner barker. Well barker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
