The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Perusjamppa.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Perusjamppa comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Fedor Emelianenko has been cut.
Emelianenko wants to break the clinch but can't.
Emelianenko swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Emelianenko is trying to break the clinch but Perusjamppa has him pressed against the cage.
Perusjamppa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Emelianenko is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Perusjamppa lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Perusjamppa.

Perusjamppa ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Perusjamppa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Perusjamppa lands a head kick. Emelianenko smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Perusjamppa feints and as Emelianenko raises his hands in defense, Perusjamppa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Perusjamppa stands and steps away. Emelianenko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Perusjamppa rushes Emelianenko and presses him up against the cage.

Emelianenko has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Perusjamppa.
Emelianenko chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Perusjamppa can pounce on him.

A frustrated look appears on Emelianenko's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Emelianenko tries to keep at a distance but Perusjamppa has taken the fight into the clinch.
Perusjamppa gets control of Emelianenko's arms and successfully pulls guard. Perusjamppa will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Emelianenko wants to control from the top but Perusjamppa keeps moving.
Emelianenko won't allow Perusjamppa to get back to his feet.

Perusjamppa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Emelianenko is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Perusjamppa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Emelianenko's back instead.
Perusjamppa has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Emelianenko tries to break free.
Perusjamppa throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Emelianenko!
Emelianenko is trying to roll into a better position but Perusjamppa has get a rear naked choke and Emelianenko is forced to tap out! This one is allllll over!
