Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoni Gaudi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Antoni Gaudi!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Martin.
Martin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nice takedown defense from Gaudi. No joy for Martin on that attempt.
Martin throws and low kick but Gaudi moves out of range easily.
Gaudi misses with a straight right.
Martin doesn't manage to clinch there - Gaudi circles away.
Freddy Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Martin throws a push kick but Gaudi slaps the foot to one side.
Martin's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Martin duly obliges.

and Martin counters with a left and a right that stings Gaudi.

Martin looks for a takedown but Gaudi sprawls well.

Gaudi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Martin looks to clinch

and Gaudi counters with a shoot takedown. Martin fights it but they end up in guard.
Gaudi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gaudi's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Martin wants to stand up but Gaudi is controlling him.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Antoni Gaudi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Martin tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Gaudi counters by clinching up.

Martin decides to stand back up. Martin steps back and let's Gaudi get back to his feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Martin.

Martin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Martin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Gaudi is looking to improve his position but Martin isn't that keen on the idea.

Gaudi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Gaudi counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Gaudi throws a strike but Martin avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Martin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gaudi is staying active underneath Martin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Gaudi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Martin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gaudi has a hand on Martin's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Martin takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
