Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Skyler Petersen!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petersen looks to land a combination but Kahric avoids it well.
Petersen keeps the fight on the outside.
Petersen misses with a wild combination.
A combination from Petersen does no damage.

Kahric has closed the distance and engaged Petersen in a clinch.
Petersen has had enough of the clinch but Kahric keeps him there for the moment.

Petersen breaks from the clinch.

Kahric dodges the punch combination from Petersen.
Petersen thuds his right hand into Kahric's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Petersen throws a series of strikes that have Kahric backpedaling.


It looks like Samir Kahric has been cut.
Petersen takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Kahric bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Kahric is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Petersen's half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Petersen is trying to stand up here but Kahric is controlling him well.

Kahric thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kahric is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Petersen wants to sweep but Kahric has passed to side control!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kahric is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Petersen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kahric is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Petersen has escaped the position, nice work there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Kahric can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Petersen is looking to escape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Petersen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Petersen tries to kick Kahric off but Kahric keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Kahric wants to work for an arm triangle but Petersen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kahric is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Petersen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kahric.

Petersen throws a series of punches but Kahric avoids them all with ease.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kahric moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Oh Kahric is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Petersen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kahric moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Petersen misses with a series of wild punches.

Kahric seems to have got his legs back now.
Kahric throws a nice inside leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Kahric.
Skyler Petersen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Petersen throws a jab when Kahric was well out of range.

Petersen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kahric counters with an inside leg kick.
Kahric dodges the punch combination from Petersen.
Kahric has a takedown stuffed.
Petersen misses with a double jab.
Kahric misses with a leg kick.
Petersen checks the leg kick.
Petersen falls off balance throwing a combination

and Kahric counters by clinching up.

Kahric is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Kahric is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Petersen is just riding it out for now. Kahric eventually gives up the hold.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Kahric is looking for a kimura but Petersen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kahric to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Skyler Petersen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Petersen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Petersen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kahric counters with a nice low kick that buckles Petersen's knee momentarily.

Petersen drops Kahric with a beautiful combination! Kahric stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Petersen is looking for the KO!
Petersen misses with a two punch combination.
Petersen throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Kahric colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Petersen as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Kahric is left battered and dazed whilst Petersen and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Skyler Petersen!
