The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Bob throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bob tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Popov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bob throws a sloppy head kick and Popov moves out of range easily.
Popov just misses with a punch to the body.
Bob lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Popov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bob lands with an overhand left.
Bob throws a body kick that misses.
Bob fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice uppercut lands for Bob. That snapped Popov's head back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bob throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bob lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Popov circles away quickly and effectively.

William Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Popov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Popov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bob misses with a double jab

and Popov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bob looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Popov is posturing up here but Bob has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Popov tries to roll out but it's too tight and Popov has to tap! Slick submission there by Bob!
